INTRODUCTION

This page is intended as a free resource for teachers wanting to introduce traditional English dance to primary school children.

The intention is that it can be used even of you have no previous experience of folk dance. If you need any help, however, please contact me and I’ll be glad to assist. Please also let me know if you have any suggestions as to how to improve this information or to make it more useful or user friendly!

Information is given for a number of simple dances, together with some general notes on the dances and suitable music. All the information is available in two formats; as a web page and as a downloadable PDF file.
